Helping you reach fluency in under 3 years

Learning Spanish starts with finding the right class.  If you’ve never taken Spanish before, or if you want to start again from the beginning, go ahead and register for Level 1. If you’re looking for a more advanced class, you’ll find optional placement tests with class descriptions for each level below. Passing or taking a placement test is NOT a requirement for registering for class. Classes are offered four times a year, so you can start your language learning journey whenever works best for you!

Beginning Classes

Levels 1-3 provide the foundation for your journey towards Spanish fluency. Crucial vocab is learned to discuss everyday topics such as family, work, travel, food, money, health, and weather.

These classes focus on the ability to speak in the present tense and there’s a heavy emphasis on being able to conjugate present tense regular, irregular, stem-changing, and reflexive verbs. Additionally, we learn the conditional tense, comparatives, superlatives, and focus on accurately using Spanish direct and indirect object pronouns.

"Spanish with Caiden has been SO helpful for relearning Spanish after many years! The personalized teaching, well-structured materials, and emphasis on speaking and listening will prepare you to use your Spanish in a way the Duolingo owl never could. Caiden is warm, friendly, responsive, and loves to engage us in interesting discussions. Whether you're hoping to connect with your community or getting ready to travel, this class is great for learners at all levels! I highly recommend signing up."

Intermediate Classes

Upon completing Levels 4-7 students will have all the necessary vocabulary and grammar in order to converse in Spanish on a wide array of topics including  relationships, holidays, having and raising kids, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Students will feel comfortable expressing their opinions on a wide array of political and socio-economic issues including climate change, healthcare, debt, education, retirement, and finance.

The focus of these classes are being able to converse not only in the present tense, but also in the past and future. As such Levels 4-7 will cover the preterite, imperfect, conditional, future, imperative, and the present, past, infinitive, and future indicative perfect tenses.

“Caiden is an interactive teacher and keeps me (and his other students) engaged through dialogue and other learning exercises. Throughout the course I have personally observed myself becoming more comfortable with "thinking in Spanish" rather than trying to translate everything in my brain from English to Spanish. This is a testament to Caiden's skill as a teacher and the way he conducts his lessons. Caiden's demeanor is relaxing and I am not afraid to make mistakes when talking in class. The environment Caiden creates in his classes is constantly immersive and a perfect environment to learn Spanish. I am grateful for the opportunity to have Caiden as an instructor.”

Advanced Classes

Levels 8, 9, and 10 (more to come soon!) focus on refining students’ Spanish speaking abilities and being able to  express uncertainty and doubt. During class we discuss more specific topics such as electric vehicles, nuclear power, the fishing industry, national parks and indigenous sovereignty, astronomy and space exploration, religion, legends, and the supernatural.

Advanced classes are heavily focused on being able to use the present, imperfect, present perfect, and past perfect subjunctive. We also review other grammar constructions and dive into advanced grammar mistakes.

"Caiden won't let us in his room while he's teaching. 0/10 would not recommend."
